Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Cortex (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you must have parental consent.

2. User Accounts

You must authenticate via Google to use Cortex. You are responsible for all activity under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our security policies.

3. Restrictions on Use

You agree to use the Service only for its intended educational purposes. You SHALL NOT:

• Reverse Engineer: Decompile, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code, proprietary algorithms, or animation engines of the Service.
• Distill: Use any output from the Service (including video scripts, animation code, or generated media) to develop, train, or improve models or services that compete with Cortex.
• Automate: Use bots, crawlers, or automated scripts to interface with the Service or bypass rate limits.
• Abuse: Bypass security filters, attempt prompt injections, or create multiple accounts to exploit free trial credits.
• Illegal Content: Generate or upload content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or promotes violence and hate speech.

4. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the original prompts and images you submit. Cortex grants you a personal, non-exclusive license to use the generated videos for educational and personal purposes. Cortex owns all rights to the underlying software, branding, and proprietary rendering technology.

5. Quotas and Payments

Cortex provides a limited free trial. We reserve the right to limit your usage or modify quotas at any time. Any future paid credits are non-refundable as they represent immediate computational costs incurred during generation.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that the AI-generated output will be accurate.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Cortex or its creators be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Service, including data loss or intangible losses.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Specifically, repeated prompt injection attempts will result in automatic account suspension.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
